UV comes from the sun
UV means ultraviolet radiation.
We cannot see or feel UV.
It can damage our skin and eyes.
A cool or cloudy day can still have high UV.
At UV 3 or above, use all five protections.
An adult can help us check the UV.
Tap an item. Then tap where it belongs.
Teacher notes and sources
This UV 5 is a pretend lesson scenario, not a live forecast. Use all five protections together. Sunscreen: SPF50/50+, broad-spectrum and water-resistant; apply according to label and school procedure. This game represents application, not an instruction to apply sunscreen in class. Shade and sunscreen alone do not provide complete protection. The shade roof appears over the child when selected.
Start with the UV introduction. Model one full game on the board first. Then use one iPad per pair: one pupil taps, the other names the action and explains how it helps. Swap after each item. In the missing-item round, tap the absent protection to restore it. Use “Next round” for another item. No student information is collected.
